Cäcilia Stapper
Cäcilia is an economist and PhD candidate at the Chair of Development Economics and Global Political Economy at the University of Göttingen, Germany, affiliated with the Ibero-America Institute for Economic Research.
Her research spans political economy, aid effectiveness, economic geography, and impact evaluation, with a regional focus on Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a Master of Science in Economics from Heidelberg University and has accumulated experience in NGOs, government development agencies, and academic research across Belgium, Germany, and Peru, with a strong foundation in quantitative methods and causal inference.
As a visiting researcher, she will establish collaborations with researchers and local stakeholders for a project on urban segregation in Lima.
