The “Tejiendo Cuidados” project emerged in this context as an initiative to document, highlight, and value the care practices carried out by women from ethnic communities. This study, sponsored by the Ministry of Equality and Equity, Simón Bolívar University, and the Women of the Ethnic Commission for Peace, represents an unprecedented effort to build knowledge from a decolonial feminist perspective that recognizes ethnic women as political agents, bearers of ancestral knowledge, and key players in the development of alternatives to the hegemonic model of care.
