A participatory action research was carried out to support organizations mostly led by women that promote community care initiatives. The goal was to identify strategies that, through the National Care System, make visible the needs and inequalities of caregivers and strengthen these organizations in peri-urban areas of Cartagena. The program included three strategic pillars: i) creating a Community Care Plan, through a participatory diagnostic exercise built with community care organizations; ii) implementing a Strengthening Strategy for three selected organizations; iii) conducting a systematization exercise, collecting information, and analyzing experiences to identify lessons learned and best practices.
