Villegas, F. (2025). Evaluación de la escritura en escuelas rurales multigrado: logros y dificultades de estudiantes de educación primaria. CREER Aportes para el Diálogo y la Acción, 29.

This new installment of the series “Contributions to Dialogue and Action” presents the process of a writing assessment in which third- to sixth-grade students from schools participating in the CREER Project took part.

Conducted at the end of 2022, the assessment sought to comprehensively understand the learning profiles of third- to sixth-grade students in multigrade rural schools, with a special focus on writing skills, a key area of the National Curriculum that often receives less attention in educational assessments.

The CREER Project designed specific instruments for this assessment, organizing the measurement according to learning trajectories rather than school grades. This approach allowed for a more accurate assessment of students’ progress and challenges.

The findings offer deep insight into the development of writing in multigrade rural contexts, providing evidence that contributes to strengthening teaching, guiding educational policies, and promoting pedagogical practices adapted to each context.
