The early years of life are essential for human development and are influenced by psychosocial, biological and environmental factors. This research explores the association between environmental factors, specifically environmental pollution, and the level of early childhood development of children under six years of age in urban contexts in Peru. This is a quantitative correlational study where two databases were analyzed: the Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES) 2018 and the Registry of Municipalities database (from 2015 to 2018) to portray infant development levels and exposure to environmental pollution in the district respectively. The results show a negative relationship between early childhood development (ECD) and the level of environmental pollution in the district for the age group of thirteen to eighteen months; and when exploring what type of pollution there is a significant association, it was found that districts with noise pollu-tion have children with low levels of child development
