The objective is to evaluate the characteristics of the concession process, to estimate its impact on the economy and to identify the implications of handing over other ports in the country under concession. To this end, we analysed the model used to introduce private participation, examined whether there is evidence of improved port operation with the concession and estimated the impact on the welfare of each group involved.
