In a context of debate about the future of rural society in Peru, this publication seeks to contribute some of the conclusions and findings of research carried out by the Grupo de Análisis para el Desarrollo (GRADE). Here, three mimeos are published from the Seminar on Natural Resources and Rural Development in Peru (1980-2010) held in Lima in November 2010 under the auspices of the Ford Foundation, through the Institute of International Education and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The seminar was part of a series of academic dialogue and debate activities with which GRADE celebrated its thirty years of professional academic activity.
