Presentation
The Young Lives Peru study follows the development of about 2750 children born in Peru around 1994 (older cohort) and 2001 (younger cohort). The study is being conducted simultaneously in Ethiopia, India and Vietnam, in addition to Peru, under the technical coordination of the University of Oxford. Having completed round seven of the surveys, the team will focus on several tasks over the next year: review of the databases to make them publicly and freely available in an international repository, as well as the surveys used; preparation of a paper containing the main findings and a balance of the research conducted during the last 6 years of the project; and, preparation of research and dissemination papers on employment, education, mental health, nutrition and physical development, among others. In addition, the research team will participate in seminars and roundtables related to the implications of the findings for the development of educational policies.
