Presentation
This study explores skills certification in the workforce of ECEC programs in Latin America, specifically in Peru, Ecuador, and Uruguay. Effective certification processes can improve job quality, productivity, and competitiveness, while offering better employment and income opportunities. Adequate skills certification is crucial to advancing the recognition and professionalization of caregivers, mostly women, who have historically been undervalued. National early childhood care systems in Latin America are implementing certification processes to promote professional growth and ensure service quality.
