Our Adjunct Researcher, Vanessa Rojas, shared “The role of the Peruvian State for Children and Adolescents. Thoughts from their School Experiences”, as part of the 4th International Conference on Ethnography and Education. The event, from July 11 to 14, was held by EMIGRA Research Group of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
The conference was a space for discussion based on the presentation of current contributions of ethnographic research in education. The attendees shared research findings on emerging challenges of education, diversity and inequality in a 21st century global world, based on three axes: ethnography in the face of old and new research issues, ethnography and the evaluation of education policies and debates and methodological advances in ethnography of education.
Vanessa based her presentation on the findings of her Research Paper 81 ¿Cómo perciben los niños, niñas y adolescentes el rol del Estado? Reflexiones a partir de los servicios de educación y salud (How do children and adolescents perceive the role of the State? Thoughts from the education and health services).
