Comparative and international perspectives are essential to fulfilling the dream of educational equity. According to their mission for educational improvement to empower learners, educators, and many more on local, national, regional, and global scales, the Comparative & International Education Society (CIES) organizes its 67th Annual Meeting CIES 2023. This edition will cover the topic “Improving Education for a More Equitable World”. The online days will be during February 14-15 and the on-site days will be during February 18-22 in Washington DC.
Our Senior Researchers Santiago Cueto and María Balarin will be speakers in two sessions. On February 15, as part of the session Digital and distance education: International students in the globalized world of politics, Santiago will present “Tablets or cellular phones for reading? Access and use of a reading app during the pandemic in Peru”. On February 19, as part of the session Evolving Equity and Justice in the Sector of Education, Maria will present “Education as and for Justice”.
