Our Senior Researcher, Martín Valdivia, is a speaker at the 1st Annual Conference of the Private Sector Development Research Network, on December 12th and 13th in Geneva, Switzerland.
The theme of the conference is inclusion. Organizers want to understand who benefits from investments in private enterprises and what can be done better, the characteristics of inclusive firms, and thw way to obtain evidence of distributional impact of investments.
On Friday 13, Martín (together with Anna-Katherina Lenz) will present: Nudging Microentrepreneurs into Formalization under High Drug-related Violence: Experimental Evidence from Urban Brazil, as part or the session on entrepreneurship and training.
The event, held by the Centre for Finance and Development, The Graduate Institute Geneva, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), CDC Group, among others, will bring together researchers who want to influence how development finance is spent, with development financiers who are opened to being influenced.
