Our researchers María Balarin and María Fernanda Rodríguez will be speakers at the Comparative and International Education Society Conference 2024. This year the event will address the theme The Power of Protest.
On Tuesday, March 12, María Fernanda will present “Localising and historicising privatization: understanding education privatization’s links to enclosure, othering and urban spaces”, as part of a panel exploring education in Latin America through feminist and intersectional lenses.
On Wednesday, March 13, Maria will present “Reforming pedagogical practice in Peruvian schools: the promise and downfall of a whole school intervention”, as part of a panel that will review the study of educational policy implementation in comparative and international education.
The onsite event will take place in the city of Miami.
