The Ecological-economic zoning (EEZ) is a key instrument that provides technical support, based on the evaluation of the potentialities and limitations of the territory with physical, biological, social, economic and cultural criteria for the formulation of development plans at the national, regional and local level, and will allow a more efficient investment by the State with a preventive vision. The impact on citizens is to promote local development, guide adequate public and private investment, improve people’s quality of life, articulating productive dynamics and caring for the environment.
In order to contribute to promoting land use planning in Peru, the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM) organizes the V National Meeting of Ecological-economic zoning.
