“The ENA is still underutilized. It has not been sufficiently exploited to improve the definitions of family farming. Those that are used do not take into account the processes of income generation, which allow us to improve the way we divide family farming with process indicators that we could not have because we relied on the Census. Now we can know if the subsistence farmer generates sufficient net agricultural income for the basic food basket by tying it to the poverty line”.
