Our researchers will participate as authors and discussants in the biennial seminar SEPIA XX, which will be held for the first time in Lima. In this edition, the main event of the Permanent Seminar on Agricultural Research is co-organized with the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

On Monday, November 6, our Adjunct Researcher Mauricio Espinoza will be part of the first special session “Tribute to SEPIA XX: Four decades researching rural Peru”. He will be accompanied by Jaime Urrutia, Vilma Gómez, Silvana Vargas and María Luisa Burneo.
On Tuesday, November 7, Javier Escobal, senior researcher at GRADE, will be one of the discussants of the second axis balance presentation: “Post-pandemic rural world: effects, challenges and opportunities”, by Evelyne Mesclier. Then, Manuel Glave, senior researcher at GRADE, will comment on the first parallel table of the second axis. In parallel, the research study “Mobility and socioeconomic dynamics in the Province of Yauyos. Evidence on impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath on the rural population”, by our senior researcher Eduardo Zegarra, Jeanine Anderson, Diego Geng and Fernando Gonzalez.
On Thursday, November 8, Mauricio Espinoza will moderate the second parallel session of the axis “Political crisis and social outburst in Peru: a look from the regions with a historical perspective”.
