On the sidelines 50 years of the enactment of the Agrarian Reform, the Ethnological Workshop on Political Culture of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) will held the international seminar “50 years of the Peruvian Agrarian Reform: new readings and approaches”, from June 26 to 28. The aim of the event is to discuss and analyze new and recurrent themes on agrarian and rural transformations in the country.
Eduardo Zegarra, Senior Researcher at GRADE, will present “Post-agrarian reform evolution of water rights in the Ica Valley: agroexport expansion and concentration of groundwater”. In addition, Ángel Zuñiga, Research Assistant at GRADE, will explain: “Dynamics in the agrarian structure after the reform: factors that intervene in the concentration or fragmentation of agricultural land in Peru.”
