Berlin: Vanessa Rojas will join the EU-LAC Multi-Actor Forum as part of the Bi-regional Pact on Care

Next week, Vanessa Rojas, Senior Researcher at GRADE, will join the EU-LAC Multi-Actor Forum in the framework of the Bi-regional Pact on Care.
The event aims to bring together representatives from Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean to discuss progress in public policy, lessons learned, and innovative initiatives related to long-term care.
As part of the parallel session focused on formalization, professionalization, and decent employment in long-term care, Vanessa will present the experience of the project “Initiatives to Strengthen Care Policies in Latin America and the Caribbean.” In particular, she will share the Brazilian initiative, winner of the first edition of the Collaborative Action Research Fund, “Promoting Gender Justice in the Care of Older Adults in Poor Communities in Brazil: The Maior Cuidado Program,” led by researchers Peter Lloyd-Sherlock and Karla Giacomin.
The Collaborative Action-Research Fund is supported by GRADE, together with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada, the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), and the Ford Foundation, in collaboration with the Global Alliance for Care.
