Peru Ranks Fourth in Latin America’s School Performance Index. Opinion by Santiago Cueto via Infobae
Our Senior Researcher, Santiago Cueto, shared his opinion regarding the publication of the School Outcomes Index, compiled by Argentinos por la Educación, which ranks Peru fourth among nine Latin American countries.
According to Santiago, although the report shows that Peru has made progress in educational coverage, problems persist in students’ academic trajectories. Nearly 25% of students are behind in grade level, which may be associated with late enrollment, interruptions in schooling, or grade repetition.
