Presentation
This study seeks to explore the impact of the investments of the German Investment Corporation (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft – DEG) and the Austrian Development Bank (Oesterreichische Entwicklungsbank AG – OeEB) on their clients, their employees and local communities. Specifically, the evaluation seeks to i) analyze the effects at the level of the client, beneficiaries, local communities and other stakeholders in the region; ii) identify the critical mechanisms by which impact is generated; iii) contrast the perceptions of different stakeholders; and iv) generate recommendations to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of future DEG and OeEB investments, in line with OECD evaluation criteria. The study combines a desktop analysis with case studies in 5 Peruvian SDR and OeEB client companies in the agro-industrial and energy sector, located in Lima, Trujillo and Piura. Standardized telephone surveys will be applied at the final beneficiary level, seeking to obtain their experience and perception of impact, together with semi-structured interviews to deepen the experience of each type of relevant stakeholder (clients, employees, local community actors, etc.).
