Mango crisis in the north of Peru. Interview to Eduardo Zegarra in Surco Norteño
“There has not been a problem of overproduction, but the mango production we have has entered to compete at an inappropriate time. These are disorders that have to do with the phenological cycle and temperature, announced by Senamhi. […] The ministry should look for better ways to provide information, allow planning, promote cooperativism, improve conditions that allow profitability”.
Eduardo Zegarra, Senior Researcher at GRADE, talked to Surco Norteño about the farmers’ crisis due to the fall in prices of this fruit.
