Rojas Arangoitia, V. y Flores, E. C. (2025). La pandemia y la salud mental: Un estudio basado en experiencias vividas por jóvenes peruanas vulnerables (Documentos de Investigación N°130). Lima: GRADE.

Although mental health is recognised as a right in Peruvian public policy, there remains a paucity of evidence that addresses subjective experiences of emotional distress from the perspective of young people themselves.

This research contributes to closing this gap through an in-depth qualitative approach, focusing on the voices of two young women who report mental health distress. Through data from the longitudinal study Young Lives Matter, the authors seek to understand mental health as a multidimensional phenomenon, embedded in broader historical, social and political processes.
