Rojas Arangoitia, V., Campos, A., Cueto, S. y Sánchez, A. (2024). Interrupción escolar y vulnerabilidad educativa en el Perú. Análisis & Propuesta, 73, 1-4.
This document presents an analysis of school interruption in Peru, highlighting both its multi-causal nature and its disproportionate impact on the students affected. This phenomenon is the result of factors that often arise beforehand in vulnerable populations, such as rural, indigenous and extremely poor populations. Factors such as low educational quality aggravate the interruption of studies. Although we have programs that seek to mitigate the problem, their impact is limited due to the lack of comprehensive policies and adequate educational resources. The document proposes strengthening prevention, retention and school reinsertion strategies through integrated approaches, expansion of educational programs and promotion of gender equity. It also emphasizes the co-responsibility of the state to guarantee the right to inclusive and quality education.
