The objective of this study is to analyze the determinants of child undernutrition (height-for-age of children under 2 years of age), with emphasis on the role of mothers’ knowledge of child nutrition in relation to the growth and development of their children. It also seeks to explore the mechanisms by which mothers obtain this knowledge and form their perceptions, and to analyze the channels through which this knowledge affects the development of their children.
