Presentation
It is necessary to identify, characterize and quantify the economic, social and environmental costs associated with the self-construction processes in which millions of families in urban Peru are currently immersed, in order to estimate the potential impact-through efficiency gains-of the new models of assisted self-construction that are being developed in the country. Specifically, the study will be used to inform different market players about the potential impact that their business models could provide beyond the economic (social and environmental) by targeting the segment of the low-income population that builds progressively.
