Presentation

The general aim of this study is to use digital tools to update cadastral information and provide georeferenced and easy-to-visualize information in order to simplify the use of data for a more efficiently managing and collecting of property tax and excise tax in the municipal districts of Peru.

The specific aims are:

• To explore different techniques for generating an ‘approximate cadastre’ based on the update and analysis of spatial data obtained through satellites and drones.

• To generate a relational database that links spatial and tax information.

• To generate efficiency indicators for districtal collection and estimate the potential municipal collection of property taxes and excise taxes.
