Presentation

The study is part of a comparative study that includes six case studies (2 from Africa, 2 from Asia and 2 from Latin America). The objective of the project is to examine the barriers to women’s participation in the labor force (considering access and quality of work) in the Peruvian context through a policy and labor market analysis with a gender approach. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of gender stereotypes and distribution of care responsibilities in the household and on the lack of accessible childcare services. Qualitative and quantitative methods are combined.
