Presentation
Building upon the systematization of the impacts of the two interventions currently underway in the southern Andes of Peru, the Project seeks to discuss the advantages and limitations of the different intervention styles in an effort to improve the well-being of the population in this region. The first intervention, known as the “Sierra Sur” project, seeks to improve the opportunities to generate income for the rural population by strengthening the rural technical assistance markets and optimizing the rural population’s assets. The second intervention is associated to the project “Sierra Productiva”, based on which it seeks to adopt a technological package to improve the living condition of rural producers. The idea is to identify the bottlenecks of each of these two intervention strategies to maximize their positive impact and their sustainability, as well as to identify the replicability and scaling up conditions of each strategy.
