Mauricio Espinoza in TV Peru: “A quarter of a million Peruvians who would have returned from the city to the countryside in 2020 alone”
“Using different methods and sources of information, we arrived at a figure of a quarter of a million Peruvians who would have returned from the city to the countryside in 2020 alone. […] They are people who are in precarious situations and because of the restrictions of the pandemic were forced to return to their places of origin. Half of this group, mainly young people, plan to stay.”
Interview with our Adjunct Researcher Mauricio Espinoza about his study of returnees from the city to the countryside in a pandemic, prepared together with Ricardo Fort and Alvaro Espinoza for the Inter-American Development Bank.
