Jaime de Althaus highlights Miguel Jaramillo’s study of 2004 on the regulation of labor market in Peru
In his op-ed titled “Overregulation is not ideological”, journalist Jaime de Althaus highlights one of Miguel Jaramillo’s findings of 2004 on the regulation of labor market in Peru: “There is the myth that in the 90’s labor was desregulated and therefore precarious and informalized. But the truth is that non-wage labor costs (“benefits”) went from 48% of gross salary in 1989 to 63% in 2000″. The text was published on June 30 in El Comercio.
