Interview with Eduardo Zegarra on U.S. President’s statements on the Panama Canal
“It is not true that the canal can charge differentiated tariffs for any country, because basically what they have is a generalized tariff system that applies to any customer who wants to use the canal. […] In the coming years, it is critical to see how the canal manages water and alternatives for its use. These are important issues, but they are being distorted with issues that have absolutely nothing to do with how the canal works”.
Our senior researcher Eduardo Zegarra talks to DW Español regarding the U.S. President’s statements on the Panama Canal. He was joined by Luis Quijano, former administrator of the canal, and journalist Nicole Geisse.
