Can Peru aim at development as an informal country? Hugo Ñopo, senior researcher at GRADE, shares his thoughts: “No, and this opportunity of the pandemic has been showing us. It is proving very difficult to reach these households whose employment is basically informal with effective help. It would do us a better job as a country , both in employment and in many other aspects of our lives, including our relationship with the State”.
