Jorge was an External Affiliated Researcher at GRADE. He had a PhD in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain. He was also a member of the Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy, and an Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and El Instituto at the University of Connecticut. Previously, he worked at GRADE as Research Assistant in the areas of Poverty, Rural Development and Inequality. His research interests were economic development and labor economics.
