Aurora Escudero Llontop
Aurora holds a degree in Sociology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and is a student of the Master in Educational Policies for Global Development at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the University of Glasgow.
She is interested in investigating the historical legacies of public policies and the influence of international organizations in the construction of public policies. Through approaches from cultural political economy and the feminist critical theory she seeks to analize the governance of teaching work. Currently, her dissertation project is focused on the reform process of the public teaching career. She also is interested in the inequities of the educational system, in the dynamics of gender violence and social justice.
Aurora has a large experience in the development of research projects at GRADE and at the Center for Sociological, Economic, Political and Anthropological Research (CISEPA). In addition, she worked as a specialist in the General Department of Professional Teaching Development of the Peruvian Ministry of Education in Peru, and is currently a Research Assistant at Education International in Brussels.
