The 2019 Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness conference brings the tensions and tradeoffs among the questions practitioners and researchers study – and the decisions and constraints practitioners and researchers face. Some of these tensions are: demands for quick-turnaround versus long-term research, demands for generalizable versus locally-based findings, demands to make decisions on topics not well studied, demands for diverse access to evidence, and demands for outcomes other than academic learning.
On Friday 8, March, our Executive Director and Senior Researcher, Santiago Cueto, will share the findings of a study, together with Julian Cristia, Pablo Ibarrarán, Ana Santiago and Eugenio Severín, on the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) program.
