The food markets are, and will continue to be for a time, the main points of agglomeration in the city. As such, they are also potential foci of COVID-19 transmission. Understanding how these institutions work, what their limitations and capacities are, is essential to devise and implement measures that make this network of microcentralities that cover the entire city part of the solution to the crisis, and not a source of problems.
Our researchers Ricardo Fort and Álvaro Espinoza will present “Markets and food centers. Territorial approach in pandemic cities” in the session Chelas Urbanas N ° 29: Cities in Quarantine. The event is organized by Urban Nodes of Latin America (Nodal), in alliance with Cities How We Go, Lima How We Go and Occupy your street, with the support of impostergable and Network Architecture.
