Our Senior Researcher, María Balarin, will be a speaker at the launch of NORRAG Special Issue 10 “Education for Societal Transformation: Alternatives for a Just Future”, to which she is also a contributing author.
NSI 10 focuses on an urgent question in the global education debate: Can education contribute to transforming societies while simultaneously facing climate crises, structural inequalities, rising authoritarianism, and the exhaustion of dominant development models? This Spanish regional edition situates the discussion in the Latin America context, a region with a long history of alternative educational experiences that offer their own frameworks for thinking about transformation.
María will present “Epistemic Justice at the Core of Educational Transformation for a Just Future”, together with Lizzi O. Milligan (University of Bath).
NORRAG is the Center for Global Education at the Geneva Graduate Institute.
