Hugo Ñopo, Senior Researcher at GRADE, outlined today a number of social develoment and cooperation priorities emerging from the Global South in a working session co-organized by the Club de Madrid and Southern Voice, on the way to the World Social Summit 2025. Former Heads of State and government and representatives from civil society organizations from around the world joined the event.
According to our researcher, “Leaving No One Behind requires, beyond social protection, equality of opportunity.” In this regard, he stressed the need to move towards a process of trust building, without which the collaboration required to achieve the 2030 Agenda will not be possible.
