On Thursday, July 13, our senior researchers, Gerardo Damonte and Manuel Glave, shared the final findings of their study on the incorporation of the environmental variable into social protection programs, and the integration of these into prevention and adaptation programs against climate change in Peru.
Specifically, the event, which gathered a small group of experts on the area, aimed to establish the guidelines for an effective incorporation of environmental variables into social protection programs for high mountain people; as well as the guidelines for better linkage between social protection programs and adaptation and prevention programs, on the sidelines of an integrated policy for the design and implementation of “adaptive social protection” programs in our country.
