Our Associated Researcher Carmen Ponce will be a speaker at the Canadian Association for Latin American and Caribbean Studies Virtual Congress CALACS 2021, from August 23 to 25. This edition will highlight the tensions between security and insecurity in literary and artistic production, political representation, migration, education, social movements, economic policies. This discussion is especially pressing given the current COVID-19 pandemic, which has only exacerbated the uneven realities of Latin America.
On Tuesday 24, as part of the Gender inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean session, Carmen will share ter study, Gender Gap in Child Time Use: Unintended Effects of an Economic Opportunities Program in the Peruvian Andes.
