Peruvian mothers who use physical punishment against their children
Although the use of beating and physical punishment by mothers as a way to disciplining their children has declined over the last 15 years, the numbers are still higher among less educated mothers, from rural areas and living in the Andes and the Peruvian jungle. Our observatory Breaking the circle (Rompamos el Círculo) allows policy makers, civil society and academia consult and use databases, studies, interventions and legislation on child violence.
